By necessity, the scope of Dr. Rauschkolb’s practice must be limited in terms of both the number of patients seen and the scope of the conditions she will treat. This is to ensure that the patients seen in her practice will receive proper care.

Each referral will be reviewed to determine whether it is appropriate for Dr. Rauschkolb’s practice. Patients will be contacted to schedule an appointment, or with a recommendation for a more suitable resource, e.g., a subspecialist (a neurologist who treats a specific area of neurology) or a tertiary (larger) care facility that is directly affiliated with a hospital.

Conditions most likely to be treated in Dr. Rauschkolb’s practice include (but are not limited to):

  • Alzheimer disease (and other types of dementia)
  • Memory loss, cognitive decline
  • Parkinson disease
  • Essential tremor
  • Stroke and TIA
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Restless leg syndrome
  • Tardive dyskinesia
  • Seizure disorder (epilepsy)
  • Headache and facial pain syndromes, including:
    • Migraine headaches (including Botox therapy)
    • Cluster headaches
    • Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (aka “pseudotumor cerebri”)
    • Trigeminal neuralgia
    • Occipital neuralgia

Conditions that will be referred to another provider/practice include (but are not limited to):

  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculopathy (CIDP)
  • Guillain-Barre syndrome (AIDP)
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Chronic pain (e.g., back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia)
  • Non-epileptic seizures (aka, “pseudoseizures”)
  • Narcolepsy
